3. How long we keep it

4. Who processes your data for us

We use these providers. Each works under a written contract and only on our instructions.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else, except where the law requires (for example HMRC, the National Crime Agency or our regulator, AAT) or when you ask us to send an appeal for you.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Some providers (Anthropic, Stripe, Google, GitHub) may process data in the USA. We rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for organisations certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies and similar

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The pages keep a small amount of information in your browser tab (session storage) so that each step of your case works, and your language choice. It is removed when you close the tab.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can withdraw your consent (health information, marketing) at any time. Email letters@accounted4tax.co.uk; we reply within one month. Some data we must keep by law (for example anti-money-laundering records) even if you ask us to delete it – we will tell you if that applies.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint · 0303 123 1113.
